Something You Are Not Likely To Hear On The News
Heard on Rush Limbaugh: Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009. It puts 2 million more acres of energy rich land off limits to energy production. Obama & the democrats are opposed to offshore drilling, the creation & discovery of new domestic energy. His theory is that this "dovetails" with the takeover of GM & Chrysler. Without the creation of new energy the price of gas is going to skyrocket. If you remember, when Obama was campaigning he said that he was not opposed to the price of gas being high, he was just surprised at how fast it rose. Rush said, "Obama knows the tipping point to get you out of big cars is $4/gallon gasoline...So democrats & Obama restrict more of our own natural energy resources, placing discovery & usage off limits, take over the auto industry. Say to GM, 'OK 11 of your top 20 sales vehicles are SUV's & trucks, but we're going to change that with a political decision, not an economic decision.' It seems to me that what's going to happen here, contrary to Mr. Obama's assertions, is that his administration is going to increase our dependence on foreign oil, by eliminating our discovery & usage of our own energy resources....So after this I'll bet you there's going to be a big push...next will come a total cut off, maybe happen in stages, of offshore oil. This will cause the price of gasoline to increase dramatically again & the cars that Obama wants you driving will thus have a market. He does want & he needs, $4/gallon gas or higher. He wasn't kidding. Now that he's running the car companies, energy policies just got a lot clearer."
