The GIVE Act (aka Brown Shirt Legislation)

This is frightening & unreal so hold on tight! Here is a brief summary of the bill from Alex Jones Infowars:

"Does anyone know anything about HR 1388 and exactly what it is?? It will create a Uniformed Force of 250,000 members, that's a force greater than the number of troops we now have in Iraq, a virtual army. A force of 5,000 per state if evenly divided, more realistically the force will be deployed according to the size and population of each state. It talks about a volunteer force, yet speaks of 3 year obligations as in a Draft, and a pay scale of from $17,000 to $22,000.

The bill mentions but does not elaborate in any detail exactly what its mission is or what authority it may have over any community in which it is deployed. It would apparently be controlled from the White House through the Cabinet, and would be another layer of government with powers that might usurp State Sovereignty relative to established organizations like Education, Conservation, Health, Natural Disasters, etc and Public Safety at City, County and State levels."

Apparently only infants will be excluded from participation, everyone else will be forced to "volunteer" & will be paid to do so. First of all--isn't paid volunteer an oxymoron? And second--why do we need to draft people to volunteer? If this new act goes into effect the defintion of the word volunteer is going to need to change.

And what's even more disturbing is that 70 House Republicans signed this bill! To read more commentary check out these websites: http://www.infowars.com/google-filters-the-give-act-mandatory-volunteerism/

OK, so this goes hand in hand with something I learned about yesterday--Fusion Centers. These are under the direction of Homeland Security & have targetted such groups as "supporters of third party candidates (such as Ron Paul), pro-life activists, and conspiracy theorists as potential militia members[3]. Anti-war activists and Islamic lobby groups were targeted in Texas, drawing criticism from the ACLU [4]." (qouted from Wikipedia)

By the way--I just found out that Fusion Centers were started by George Bush & Obama said he would shut them down, but is instead expanding them. Something to think about.

Anyone else think these things sound un-american? Unconstitutional? What are we going to do? Anyone else want to have a good old-fashioned "Tea Party"?

I think it's a great idea. I've heard there are lots being planned for April 15.
