B-A-T-H Spells Bath!
I never expected that our days of spelling things so the boys wouldn't know what we are talking about would start to end this early. After supper I asked Bill if he would start a B-A-T-H & Matthew said, something along the lines of "that spells bath, are we taking a bath?" I looked at Bill in surprise & tears sprang to my eyes. I shouldn't have been surprised, because he really wants to read & has been working on his letter sounds quite a bit & also has been asking me to spell lots of words. I should also note that after saying "that spells bath" Matthew tried to spell bath, but wasn't even close. But it was a good effort & the next time won't surprise me quite so much, although I can't guarantee that I won't cry! :)
