Anniversary Post
Bill was going to suprise me by taking me to Amalfi's. He came home & told me that Almafi's wasn't open on Monday's, so that was out the window. He had print outs of men's from 4 other restaurants--Peter Ott's, Marcel's, Rustica, & Cafe Miranda. I told him that my 1st choice would be Peter Ott's. Just before we left Matthew threw up. We briefly discussed staying home, but Mom (my mother-in-law) told us to go, so we did. On the way we passed Cody's & decided to try that instead. The atmosphere wasn't very romantic, but the food was great. We split an appetizer of Stuffed Potato Skins, Bill had Grilled Pork Chop & 1/2 Slab of Ribs combo & I had the Prime Rib & Shrimp Combo (I selected Coconut Shrimp as the style shrimp. I had always wanted them, but never had tried them.) As sides we both had the house salad & garlic mashed potato. We both ended up bringing home some of our entree because there was so much food we were stuffed. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the rolls--crusty rolls with cinnamon butter. I loved them Bill thought they were just OK. We both agreed we would go back again, especially on a Monday or Tuesday because kids eat free on those days!
